Telechron Model 1F308
The Telechron Model 1F308 is a 10” commercial clock with an octagonal metal case. The dial measures 8” across.
'Wood Case Telechron'
The Telechron Model 101 is the smallest version of the ‘Wall Case Telechron’ which is also known as the ‘Wall Telechron.’ The ‘Wall Case Telechron’ clocks came in three finishes: quartered oak, mahogany, and white enamel. Model 101, along with Models 201 and 301, were available with either the No. 31 Indicator or the No. 71 Auxiliary movement. The clock shown features a mahogany case and an 8” dial. On the face appears, ‘Warren Clock Co.’ which suggests that this clock was manufactured before 1926.
Telechron 'Vanity'
Telechron’s Model 322, known as the ‘Vanity,’ was produced between 1926 and 1929. In these years, Telechron sold 6,286 of this shelf clock. The clock sits in a mahogany case and features a silver finished dial that measures 3 ½”. A No. 31 Indicator movement runs the clock.
Telechron 'Denmore'
The Telechron ‘Denmore,’ Model 453A, is a wall clock whose case is made of mottled Bakelite in a walnut color. The clock was manufactured between 1929 and 1931, during which 10,449 clocks were sold. Originally sold for $17.00, the price was reduced to $10.00 when the market crash took its toll on the economy.
The Brown Palace Hotel 'Millennium Clock' Replica
On New Year’s Eve, 1999, Denver’s Brown Palace Hotel revealed its grand Millennium Clock hanging in the lobby. The griffins on either side were designed to reflect the griffins found on the Brown Palace’s logo. This miniature replica of the Millennium Clock was given to hotel guests to celebrate the unveiling of the clock on the eve of the new millennium. Both the full-scale and replica clocks were designed by artist Robert Shure.
Telechron ‘Jubilee’
Produced from 1937-1940, the Telechron Model 6B01, named ‘Jubilee,’ is a strike clock housed in brown mahogany with a 5 1/2” dial. The mahogany case features inlaid accents of white holly around the top and bottom. The dial consists of brown lithographed numerals and a light tan background. The hands, as well as the bezel, are gold finished.
Telechron ‘Café’
The Telechron ‘Café,’ Model 2H11, was in production from 1940 until 1951. During this time, 772,807 units of this popular kitchen wall clock were sold. Shown here in red, this clock’s molded plastic case also comes in ivory, green, white, blue, and yellow. The bright color of the case is contrasted with a chrome trim and bezel. The dial’s cream and gray colored background lies behind black hands and numerals.
Telechron ‘Yachtsman’
The Telechron Model 6B09, known as the ‘Yachtsman,’ was Telechron’s earliest ship’s wheel clock. When it was manufactured from 1938 until 1942, 12,361 clocks were sold. In the center of the brown mahogany, tambour style case is a ship’s wheel. The tan and brown characters and satin gold background on the dial are surrounded by eight lacquered bronze spokes.
General Electric Telechron 'Model ABR 981'
This Telechron strike clock is of the cathedral style. It features a wood case made by Revere Clock Company with a detailed wooden appliqué on the front side.
Telechron 'Knickerbocker'
Model 4H99 is an excellent example of Early American-style Telechron clocks. Cased in beautiful mahogany, this clock features a brass finial and bezel. This clock is most likely the later version of the Knickerbocker which appeared after World War II ended. As a result of reallocating materials to the war effort, the design became simpler than the previous model that included fluting along the front sides of the clock and multiple brass finials.
